Oakcrest Intermediate School Library

 

Welcome to the Oakcrest library website!  I’m Mrs. Russell and I have been a librarian in Tomball for 8 years. 

Before becoming a librarian, I taught 2nd and 3rd grade at Rosehill Elementary.  I also taught preschool, 2nd grade in Magnolia ISD and was a school Librarian in Klein ISD for 2 years.

I grew up in Franklin, Texas, but I’ve lived in Northwest Houston and Tomball for 26 years.  We are proud to represent all of Tomball ISD in our family!  I have two sons that attend Tomball High School and are members of the Cougar Pride Band. My husband teaches Science at Grand Lakes Junior High. 

I hold a BA in Telecommunications with a minor in History from Baylor University, and I received my Masters in Library Science from Sam Houston State University.

I love being a librarian because I get a chance to work with every student in the school. My goal is to help instill a love of reading in all students. Matching a great book with a reader is a wonderful thing.
