Dr. George Flores

Welcome to Oakcrest Intermediate School.  My name is Dr. George B. Flores and I am honored to serve as the Building Principal at OIS.  I was born and raised in Houston and grew up playing sports and enjoying the outdoors.  After graduating High School I was fortunate to fulfill my dream of playing collegiate baseball in Junior College and later at Texas Southern University.  My educational background consists of a Bachelors Degree in Administration of Justice from Texas Southern University, a Masters Degree in Educational Administration from Prairie View A&M University and a Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Educational Leadership from Prairie View A&M University.  I have many experiences in the education field including serving as an Algebra I Tutor, Substitute Teacher, Teacher, Assistant Principal, Elementary Principal and Middle School Principal.  I feel so blessed to serve this community and I look forward to seeing all of your students succeed at Oakcrest and continue their journey of excellence in Tomball ISD.

I am so excited to be the Assistant Principal at OIS!! I look forward to meeting each and everyone one of you! I am originally from a small town in Texas, and graduated from Texas A & M University in 2005 with a double major in business marketing and management. WHOOP! After working in the business world, I decided to go back to school because my real passion in life is teaching! In May 2010, I graduated from Sam Houston State University with a master's degree in Instructional Leadership and a minor in Instructional Technology. I also obtained my principal certification. This will be my 13th year in education and my 12th year in Tomball ISD.

I enjoy golfing, fishing, spending time with my family, traveling and playing with my dog, Allie.  It is my privilege to work with students, parents, and staff at Oakcrest Intermediate where relationships are built through teamwork and collaboration. I'm looking forward to a great year!!
