Veteran’s Day Forum

October 2019

Hello OIS Community,

This year, Oakcrest Intermediate School will be hosting the U. S. Veteran’s Day Forum on Friday, November 8th, 2019 at 10:20 in the morning.  Since past years have been such an outstanding success, we would like to continue on with the tradition of a student-led forum where American Veterans are asked a variety of questions concerning their service in the armed forces.

We are requesting a few Veterans to participate as one of our distinguished panel members for this year’s forum.  If you or anyone you know is interested, please fill out the Google Form linked here by Friday, November 1st, 2019.  Participants in our forum celebrating our U. S. Veterans will receive a list of possible questions that may be asked by the students.

We truly appreciate everyone’s consideration and participation in this very special student-led event that will promote what U. S. Veterans have contributed and sacrificed for our great nation. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact Josh Kelley (281-357-3033 ext. 5648 or joshuakelley@tomballisd.net at Oakcrest Intermediate School.

With deepest appreciation,

VETERAN'S WALL OF HONOR

See attached PDF for the Veteran's Wall of Honor scrapbook page poster.  Flyer with instructions will be given to students this week!  We would like scrapbook pages to be turned in by Friday, November 1st.  These will be on display for our annual Veteran's Forum that will take place on Friday, November 8th during 4th period.

Thank you so much for your help in advance for supporting the Veterans in our community!
